‘Birds of Prey’ Movie To Feature Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain And Renee Montoya

Warner Bros. and DC are having a stellar Monday with the release of the Aquaman set reports, now comes the news of who will be in the team roster for the in-development Birds of Prey film.

According to Elmayimbe over at The Wrap, the line-up will include Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya alongside Margot Robbie who is reprising her role as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad.

This confirms Omega Underground’s report from June that of both Black Canary and Huntress would be part of the team.

The girl gang will be going up against a Batman villain who has never appeared on the big screen before. Fingers are pointing at Black Mask who was rumoured to have been the baddie in Gotham City Sirens.

It not clear yet whether or not Cassandra Cain or Renne Montoya will adopt their superhero personas of Batgirl and the Question.

Cathy Yan is set to direct by a script penned by Christina Hodson. Margot Robbie will produce with Kroll & Co Entertainment’s Sue Kroll and Clubhouse Pictures’ and Bryan Unkeless.

Her costume is an attractive black outfit with fishnet stockings and blonde hair, and she is usually seen riding her motorcycle. Dinah Laurel Lance was born into a family of crime fighters. Her father Larry Lance, was a police officer, while her mother (also named Dinah) was the original Black Canary. Green Arrow fights alongside her most often as they are romantically involved. Huntress is a devout Catholic Italian-American known as Helena Bertinelli, the orphaned daughter of a murdered mafia family who grew up swearing deadly vengeance on the criminal underworld. Batman has frowned on her for her willingness to kill, although over time she has gotten used to more conventional methods of crime-fighting and found wider acceptance as a vigilante. She later rebelled against her father and became Batgirl during No Man’s Land following Barbara Gordon and Helena Bertinelli. She later adopted the alias Blackbat as a member of Batman Incorporated. She has been a member of Justice League Elite, the League of Assassins, the Outsiders, Deathstroke’s Titans East and Young Justice
