‘Joker’ Director Shares First Look At Joaquin Phoenix As The Clown Prince Of Crime; New Set Footage Reveals The Joker In Action



We had our first look at Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, now director Todd Phillips has revealed test footage of the actor in full Joker get up.

The Instagram video shows an expressionless Phoenix, transformed into the Joker and cracking a smile, with the video captioned “Camera test (w/ sound). Joker.

This hits all the right notes for me, its creepy and Phoenix looks like he is going to be a maniac in the role.

Releasing the footage of the Joker was a smart move by Warner Bros and Phillips as they got out in front of the paparazzi who have just released new images and a set video of Phoenix in action. The video takes place in the New York City subway, where the Joker and his gang causing chaos.

This looks so good, and even better in action. I’m getting some serious Batman ’66 vibes with the costume which is very similar to Cesar Romero’s, whilst a hint of Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the character.
