Matt Reeves’ The Batman may have a role for Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac.
GWW (formerly Omega Underground) have reported Isaac, who is best known for his role as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars franchise, has rumoured to have met with Warner Bros. for a role in The Batman. No offer has been made yet, but it’s said Isaac “is very interested in being part of the movie.”
The role Isaac has been offered is unknown, but it’s said the studio wants an A-Lister to play the villain. He definitely has the pedigree the studio is after, in addition to his work in Star Wars, Isaac has a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in HBO’s mini-series Show Me A Hero and has received praise for his roles in Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year and Ex- Machina.
Back in May Variety’s Justin Kroll heard a rumour that Warner Bros. wanted Penguin to be the villain in The Batman, but with things changing behind-the-scenes at the studio he may appear in another DC film.
Take this with a grain of salt as things are constantly changing in the DCEU but I'm hearing the Penguin is possibly the choice to play the main villain in THE BATMAN. Sources add even if Reeves decide to go another route the studio could then make him the main villain in BOP

Isaac is an incredibly talented actor, and there’s no doubt he would make a great Penguin if, given the opportunity, he would equally be a good Black Mask, Harvey Dent aka Two Face or even Batman.
