Production on Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman sequel will begin this summer, and with things gearing up on the highly anticipated film, a new casting rumour has surfaced.
According to ThatHashtagShow Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone (La La Land) has passed on the opportunity to star alongside Gal Gadot in the Wonder Woman sequel.
Their report claimed Stone was in talks to play fan-favourite DC villainess Cheetah.
The mantle of Cheetah has been held by a few different villains, however Wonder Woman 2 was going to feature Barbara Ann Minerva’s version of the character. Minerva is a British anthropologist who becomes the avatar of the Cheetah God after locating the lost city of Urzkartagan and stumbling into the middle of an ancient ritual.
Emma did indeed pass on the villain role (she gets offered everything there though) but not sure if it's indeed Cheetah. Waiting to hear back from studio.

The site goes on to note the film will be set during the Cold War in the 1980’s, something that’s been rumoured since the sequel was greenlit. It also adds that Chris Pine, who died in the first film will return along with Ewen Brenner and Said Taghmaoui (whom both survived) in flashback cameos.
