Rumour: ‘Man of Steel 2’ Announcement Coming At San Diego Comic-Con?

Warner Bros. are already bringing their big guns for their Hall H presentation, with the first trailer for Aquaman and Shazam! Plus some surprises from Wonder Woman 1984, which is currently filming.

All of this is huge, but a new rumour suggest that a Man of Steel 2 announcement is imminent, and if that does come to fruition, it will no doubt blow the roof off the 65,000-square-foot state-of-the-art centerpiece.

According to Revenge of the Fans Editor-in-Chief Mario F. Robles on the El Fanboy Podcast Warner Bros. want Superman actor Henry Cavill to be part of their panel at this years Comic-Con. Hinting the studio could be about to announce a Man of Steel sequel. However, Cavill could also be there for other reasons, perhaps moderating the panel? Robles does go on to say Warner Bros. may wait to see if Cavill’s stock rises with the upcoming release of Mission: Impossible – Fallout before announcing anything.

It’s possible Cavill may be part of the Shazam! panel, as it has been rumoured Superman may show up in Shazam! to mentor Billy Batson in some capacity.

Cavill recently hinted about getting back shape so he could get into the blue suit on Instagram:

“Working on the Super Buns! Whiiiiiiich if you vote for me in the Teen Choice Awards (link in bio) and I end up winning then you may or may not see them in a tight blue outfit much sooner! But totally probably. As an aside, please ignore the fact that I’m also 6 months pregnant with a baby made up entirely of cookies and pizza. Some stiff competition in my Teen choice awards category and I wish those Gentlemen very good luck! So get online and vote with your hearts….but vote for me.”

Word on the street is Warner Bros is wanting a 2020 release date for the next Superman outing. Let us know in the comments below your thought on the a potential Man of Steel sequel.
