We may have just been given our first glimpse of the year and setting for the next Wonder Woman film by Patty Jenkins.
One day after confirmation that Zack Snyder was still producing the sequel, Patty Jenkins updated her Twitter Header with what appears to be a Teaser Logo of the next Wonder Woman film.
Going off the image, one could assume that the new film will take place in 1984, which would back up the claim the film would take place in the Cold War era. Jenkins is returning in the directors chair, as well as Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, in the titular role. In addition to the film, Kristin Wiig will be playing Cheetah, who is one of Wonder Woman’s greatest foes. Game of Thrones and Kingsman: The Golden Circle star Pedro Pascal is also joining the fray in an unannounced role.
Wonder Woman was released a year ago on this day, breaking records and becoming one of the highest grossing films for Warner Bros., so it seems fitting that a teaser would come out today. DC fans will gladly take any news to spark discussion, specifically since the last DC Film was so controversial and we have yet to see an Aquaman trailer.
Speaking of Aquaman, that film is the next film to be released by Warner Bros. on December 21st, 2018. After that, Shazam! will hit theaters on April 5th, 2019 followed by what I would like to call ‘Wonder Woman ’84‘, which will be released on November 1st, 2019 but with no official title.
