HBO’s Watchmen TV series has added more new faces to its growing cast.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Sara Vickers (Sunshine on Leith) and Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow) have all joined the cast of Lost and The Leftovers co-creator Damon Lindelof’s TV adaptation of the iconic comic book, Watchmen.
No character details were released on who the three will play.
Yahya will appear in another DC Comics adaptation this year, the talented actor will appear as the villainous Black Manta in James Wans Aquaman.
Vickers has a few TV credits to her name, which include The Alienist and The Crown.
Watchmen will see the return of Mison to TV after laying low since Fox cancelled his Sleepy Hollow TV series.
The potential series isn’t a strictly faithful adaptation of the classic Alan Moore comic series, but an original story inspired by it — it takes place in a world where superheroes are considered outlaws.
Batman V Superman actor Jeremy Irons recently joined the cast, which also includes Regina King, Don Johnson, Louis Gossett Jr., Tim Blake Nelson, Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard
